A.L.A.R.M. (Softlink Australia)
Softlink Australia’s original school library system. As Softlink’s main support staff member for this software I became an experienced user. A.L.A.R.M. was superseded by O.A.S.I.S. in late 1988.
O.A.S.I.S. (Softlink Australia)
Softlink Australia’s second school library system. As Softlink’s main support staff member for this software I became an experienced user. O.A.S.I.S. was launched in late 1988. All A.L.A.R.M. users had their databases migrated to the new structure during 1989 – an intense and stressful process.
I became an experienced user of this school library system at Southside Christian College (SCC). Used from 2002 to 2004. Although still a DOS based program, it is inexpensive and offers basic functionality. As such it is suited to small primary schools with limited staff and resources.
Access-It Library (Access-It Software)
We installed Access-It Library at SCC in 2004 and I gained significant expertise with this platform until 2010, when I moved on from the college. In addition I was employed by Access-It Software to market the software to Queensland schools from 2004 – 2006 and provided installation and training as a local contractor from 2007 – 2010. In 2011 and 2012 I utilised the software for a cataloguing project at Citipointe Christian College International.
